Orthographic

Task to complete:

You will draw an orthographic drawing of your product showing 3 views and measurements.

Watch the following tutorial where you will be talked through what you need to do

Checkpoints:

  • Have you shown the front, plan and end elevations?

  • Have you shown the dimensions?

  • Have you used the correct layout?

  • Have you included a title box including important details such as scale, measurements details and what projection you have used?

GAP Attainment:

Use the following table to understand what potential grade of work you will produce. Try to aim for the top grade!

GREEN- Grades D-E

You will have shown the product that shows the basic shape and form. You will have included all the major dimensions.

AMBER- Grades B-C

You will have shown the product correctly in detail. You will have included all the major dimensions.

PINK- Grades A*-A

You will have shown the product correctly in detail. You will have included all the major and minor dimensions.

For additional support please look at these 2 YouTube videos that simply demonstrates how to draw in orthographic. One uses projection lines which is  a method of using extra support to help with the drawing and one doesn't.
